Chocolate Drizzled Fruit

Wicked easy, light and summer friendly dessert you can create in minutes. Did you know you can melt most chocolate chips in the microwave? Yes, you can also set up a boil bath for your bowl of chocolate on stove top, but sometimes I like quick and easy. I used Trader Joe's Unsweetened Chocolate Chips for the melted chocolate (the ingredients are super clean, just cacao, no fillers). They're flat so they're extra easy to melt. Plate your favorite fresh or dried fruits, and drizzle the chocolate goodness for a beautiful sweet treat. Top with something crumbly like hemp seeds, crushed nuts or coconut flakes for even more beauty.

  • Fresh fruit (I used pineapple and tangerines for this feature. Strawberries, banana, mango, apricots, dates, blueberries, kiwi would all be great as well)
  • 4 tbsp unsweetened, dark chocolate chips (read ingredients, should just say "cacao.")
  • 1 tsp hemp seeds (or crushed nuts or coconut of choice)
Plate your fresh cut fruit on your platter of choice. Zap or double-boil your chocolate chips–takes 30 seconds in the microwave, and mix with a fork. Drizzle melted chocolate on top of fresh fruit and top with your crumble of choice right away so it sticks before chocolate dries. Enjoy!
