Avocado Plum Chocolate Mousse

This 5-ingredient super clean creamy dessert is packed with nutrient rich essentials from real food. Naturally vegan, gluten-free, grain-free, sugar-free, plant-based, super fab for you, chocolatey dreamy goodness. Enjoy indulging on potassium, fiber and omega-3 from the avocado and coconut; antioxidants and a mood booster from pure cacao, along with a whole lot of joy. The best part is this only takes 5 minutes to make.

I used sliced dried plums (aka prunes) because I love the tart and sweet chewiness of them. You can top with cherries, dates, fresh berries, sliced bananas, any dried fruits you love (spicy chili dried mango slices are yummy too!) or just enjoy straight up on it's own.  I've also used this mousse as a chocolate cake or cupcake frosting and it works really well! Enjoy!

  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 4 tbsp pure cacao powder (unsweetened, or make your own by blending 4 tbsp of whole roasted cacao beans)
  • 2 tbsp monk fruit sugar (or maple syrup, honey, stevia to taste)
  • 4 tbsp pure coconut milk (I used pure young blended coconut meat because it's naturally sweeter and creamier-you can get it by the bottle at TJ's, or use unsweetened pure coconut milk of choice. You can also use any milk alternative of choice, even water will work.)
  • Sliced dried plumbs, or any fruit, nut or topping of choice
Slice avocado in half and remove pit, Scoop out avocado meat and place in blender, Add cacao powder, monk fruit sugar, and coconut milk and blend well to creamy goodness. Top with sliced plumbs, nut crumble or favorite topping of choice.
