Medicinal Green Goddess Blender Soup

The quickest most luxurious way to drink your greens and nourish yourself with all the vibrant vitamins, nutrients and minerals your immune system needs to live with this puckery no-cook alkaline soup. If you're craving a reset/detox, sick with the flu, or just want to jolt your body with chlorophyl and energy-just get blending here. Open yourself up to whatever green ingredients you have in your fridge and don't get caught up with every ingredient I list here. Just pack in as much greens as you can, and be sure to include lemon or lime for the freshest mouth watering slurps.

You can make the soup more or less thick/creamy with more/less water. Top with dry-roasted chickpeas, fresh herbs or micro-veggies!

This soup is inspired by a magical green soup my dear friend Brigitte brought over for me when I was sick with the Flu. Just blend, and enjoy warm or cold!

Medicinal Green Goddess Soup
by Sarah Farsh, inspired by Kim's Green Soup, December 22, 2019

• 8oz OG baby broccoli⁣
• 6oz OF baby spinach⁣
• 1 heaping handful fresh mint⁣
• 2 heaping handfuls fresh parsley ⁣
• 1 handful fresh basil ⁣
• 1 heaping handful unsweetened coconut flakes ⁣(or raw cashews, raw sunflower seeds)
• 4 cloves garlic ⁣
• 1 stalk celery
• 1/2 cup green onion
• 1/4 cup green peas (I used frozen)
• 1-2 cups veggie broth or water (more/less to liking. Veggie broth can be store bought, or make fresh by stewing celery, leeks and turmeric powder together)
• 1 tsp wasabi powder ⁣
• 1 tsp turmeric powder
• 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper ⁣
• 1 tbsp fresh ginger ⁣
• 2 lemons, juiced ⁣(or lime)
• pinch Celtic sea salt (more/less to taste)⁣
• fresh cracked black pepper ⁣
• garnish: get creative with dry-roasted chickpeas, coconut flakes, baby broccoli, parsley, cashew cheese crumbles, fresh red chili pepper⁣s, micro-greens or whatever you like!

Blend all ingredients in together in VitaMix or hi powered blender and push ingredients down into blade with plunger. Add more splashes of veggie broth or water to achieve desired soup consistency, more water is more soupy, less water is more creamy. Blend until blender feels warm to touch (no cooking required) Top a garnish and enjoy hot or cold.
